All of the photos on this page have been taken since Maggie's stroke between 3.20.2002 - 5.24.2002 ...continued from previous page... It is heart wrenching to watch her try to get around with my help. She pants and struggles, takes my lead ,and gets up and goes anyway, just like her Mommy! She will pee and poop on herself if I dont move her legs properly while she is upright. Today she started barking and wagging her tail. The other day the vet pinched each of her toes and she reacted to each one. All good.I cant let go of my sunshine. She is heaven-sent. I have put it into the hands of God, for Him to make the decision. I pray for patience, strength, healing, and miracles for Maggie and her Mommy. One day we were doing errands together with her sister, Georgina, and playing ball by the golf course like normal, and the next day, Maggie was helpless and paralyzed. Just like that. Im tired of people telling me to just remember the great life Ive had with her and given her. She doesnt have a quality life. Well, its only been a short while. My vet says it takes weeks to see if dogs come back from this, and every case is different. Im tired of hearing all the clichés. Maggie has gone through 10 & 1/2 very unique years of life with me. Nobody else. So nobody understands the relationship. The answer will come to me if and when. Im open to suggestions and support, by all means. But nobody can pretend to know or understand my relationship with this soul, this petunia, this child of God. My Maggie Sunshine I experienced a true miracle on April 3, 2002. My little angel Maggie got up and wobble walked over to me! Today is 4.22.02. She is wobble walking better each day. I shake my head in disbelief, then get down on my knees at the cross and cry with thanksgiving to my God. Miracle Maggie. People at the dog park get tears in their eyes when they see her tooling around the park, showing off for everyone! She stumbles and falls, but gets back up. There will be another recent photo page of Maggie very soon. Please check back on Maggie's progress. Thank you. Click for next page |
